Description:
A 142 hours Post-Graduate Education Certification Program open to licensed veterinarians; licensed or certified veterinary technicians; licensed physical therapists; licensed nurses; licensed / certified massage therapists or any other licensed health care professional.  Length of the program: 4 (four) Modules (Thursday 8:00 AM until Sunday at 1:00 PM). 

  • Please note that all clinical and practical work is included in the program and NO EXTERNAL (added) externships are required.

Thrid of five Modules.

The curriculum consists of a minimum of 226hours of supervised instruction (both didactic & hands on lab) divided into 5 (five) Modules. There is a maximum of 18 (eighteen) students per class and we will try to keep a maximum ratio of 3 or 4 (three or four) students to 1 (one) instructor for practical labs. As a post-graduate certification program, the individual student will have to set time aside after the Module, to study, practice and integrate the presented information.  Time set aside, will vary from student to student, but its average is about 4-5 hours (minimum) per week.   Please note that all clinical and practical work is included in the program (under direct supervision) and NO external (added) internships are required.  In addition, each student must present a total of 2 cases in a SOAP format during Modules IV or V.  A “case” constitutes either a patient that has been brought or sent to you for a consultation for VSMT care; their primary complaint, objective findings, physical findings and treatment / progress plan.  If you are interested, you may chose between either Class A or B.  See below for specific dates.

VSMT – Intensive Review of Anatomy & Motion Palpation of the Cervical, Thoracic region & Thoracic Limb @ Healing Oasis Wellness Center

This intensive review will cover the functional neuro-anatomy as it pertains to VSMT evaluation and techniques.  Attendees will be able to chose between the small animal or the equine hands on labs.  We will also present the advanced techniques that are being presented during our basic program as well.

Functional & Clinical Neurology for Practitioners Providing Rehabilitation Therapy. @ Healing Oasis Wellness Center

The missing link as it applies to Veterinary Rehabilitation Therapy to help improve on patient outcome is Functional Neurology.  Functional neurology, is understanding how the nervous system works, how it modulates or influences our patient and how it can be used to improve on patient outcome.  Functional anatomy will also be presented during this CE seminar to help with the integration  is undestanding how 

This continuing education seminar will present the basic neuro-anatomical anatomy and functionality (how they work) of peripheral, segmental, spinal and supra-segmental influece the patient.

Case presentations will be used to cement and help with integration of the information that is presented.
