To all applicants: The Healing Oasis Wellness Center attempts to offer the programs as announced. However, the HOWC reserves the right to adjust program faculty, location, dates, times, and tuition to accommodate unanticipated occurrences. PLEASE NOTE:
- Species content includes both canine and equine.
- Extensive clinical hands-on lab (well over 85hrs) under direct supervision.
- The program provides an outstanding student-to-faculty ratio for a better learning experience.
- Please note that ALL clinical and practical work is included in the program, and NO EXTERNAL (added) EXTERNSHIP IS REQUIRED (minimizing time away from your practice)!
- ALL attendees also receive CE contact hours for attending the Modules as well
- As this program is an IDL-Hybrid (Interactive Distance Learning) and face-to-face postgraduate program, students will need access to a high-speed internet connection, as well as having their computer (with camera and microphone).
What does the IDL – Hybrid VSMT Course consist of?
- Two hundred twenty-six hours (226) of supervised education.
- Supervised clinical hands-on practicums
- The program is divided into one off-campus Module (IDL, which includes asynchronous prerecorded educational videos and synchronous educational scheduled Webinars) and four (4) face-to-face Modules. ****PLEASE TAKE NOTE: The first Module of the IDL-Hybrid program begins once you enter the Moodle student section.
- Face-to-face Modules start on Wed at 1 PM until Sunday 1 PM.
- The total length of the program is five (5) Modules.
- There is a maximum of twenty (20) students per class, and we will try to keep a maximum ratio of 3 or 4 (three or four) students to one (1) faculty for clinical hands-on practicums.
- REMEMBER that, as a postgraduate program; the individual student must set time aside after each Module to study, practice, and integrate the presented information. Time set aside will vary from student to student, but its average is about 4-5 hours (minimum) per week.
- Each student must present four (4) cases in a SOAP format during Modules IV or V. Please consult your syllabus or the Main Catalog for further information.

Description:
An Interactive Distance Learning (IDL) and face-to-face hybrid of 226 hours of Postgraduate Education Certification are open to licensed chiropractors and veterinarians in good standing with their respective licensing boards. Species: Small and Large Animals. Emphasis: Functional & Clinical Neurology. Length of the program: 5 modules divided into one off-campus (IDL), and four face-to-face Modules (Wednesday 1:00 PM until Sunday at 1:00 PM). ****PLEASE TAKE NOTE: The first Module of the IDL-Hybrid program begins once you enter the Moodle student section.
Please note that all clinical and practical work is included in the program, and NO EXTERNAL (added) externship is required.
All successful graduates:
- Receive unlimited access to consultations with the program director
- Will be listed in our “Find a Graduate/Alumni” section
- Will have access to the “ALUMNI” section of the VSMT postgraduate state-approved program, which contains all of the movies (explanations & techniques) seen during the program.
- Receives percentage discount for continuing education seminars, our yearly conference, and a 10% discount they would like to send their veterinary associates, or credentialled veterinary technicians to the VMRT Postgraduate Program.
